A small, family-run newspaper in rural Oklahoma took on the county’s most powerful law enforcement office. What followed was a story of alleged corruption, intimidation and a secret recording in which local officials appear to discuss killing and burying the journalists investigating them.

The story is at the center of Kill. Bury. Print., a new documentary produced by journalist and MS NOW host Rachel Maddow and directed by Ben Klein.

Maddow and Klein recently received the David Carr Award for Truth in Non-Fiction Filmmaking at the Montclair Film Festival.
