Giving and Passport after transition

NJ PBS is now operated by Montclair State University as of July 2026. Existing gifts, including one-time and recurring gifts, ended June 30, 2026. If you would like to continue supporting NJ PBS, you will need to set up a new monthly recurring gift or make a one-time donation here (opens in new tab).

PBS manages Passport account status. Use the PBS Passport lookup tool (opens in new tab) to check an existing account. If access does not appear or a renewal is due, contact NJ PBS (info@njpbs.org) for help with the current account or donation path.

Prefer to mail a check?

Make checks payable to NJ PBS and mail to: NJ PBS, 1 Normal Ave., Montclair, NJ 07043.

Online donation processing is handled through PBS, and this site does not collect payment information. A mailed check supports NJ PBS but does not activate PBS Passport; to start or renew Passport streaming, donate through the new donation portal.

Give to NJ PBS through your donor advised fund

Already have a donor advised fund? It's one of the easiest ways to support NJ PBS. You've already set that money aside for charity, and in most cases you took the tax deduction when you put it in the fund. Now you get to choose where it goes. A grant to NJ PBS takes just a few minutes to recommend from your fund's website. You can make a one-time gift or set up a gift that repeats every year.

One thing to know first: you may not find us when you search your giving platform. That's expected. NJ PBS is supported by a nonprofit called Friends of NJ Public Media Incorporated, and some platforms haven't added it to their lists yet. You can add us yourself easily.

5. Submit your grant, then email info@njpbs.org so we know to expect it.

Why can't I find NJ PBS?
Our nonprofit's legal name is Friends of NJ Public Media Incorporated, and some platforms haven't added it to their databases yet. Entering the details above sends your grant to the right place.

I've given through my DAF before. Do I need to do anything?
Yes. Please enter our details again rather than using a saved recipient, which may point to our former operator.

My platform is asking for documentation.

Will I get a tax receipt?
You usually take your tax deduction when you put money into your fund, not when the fund makes a grant. We'll send you a thank-you acknowledgment, but it isn't a receipt for a new deduction.
