MONTCLAIR, N.J.NJ PBS is accepting nominations for its Ethics and Journalistic Standards Committee, a 10–12 person group that will help advance transparency and protect editorial independence.

Committee members will work closely with NJ PBS staff to:

  • Establish a code of ethics and integrity for the newsroom and the station.

  • Develop a process for submitting and adjudicating complaints.

  • Review ethical concerns raised inside or outside NJ PBS.

The committee will meet quarterly by Zoom.

Who should be nominated?

Ideal nominees have extensive experience in journalism, media, or communications, especially in handling sensitive ethics or editorial-independence issues and decisions.

Submit a nomination by Sept. 18, 2026. The application form accepts self-nominations and nominations of other people.
